Originally from Rochester, NY, Jon graduated from Ithaca College with degrees in Writing and English Literature. With thirteen years of experience as a teacher and consultant, he has lived in Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, and Germany, gaining global insights. Jon has worked with major clients like Roche and Siemens and has led The DREAM Project’s growth since 2004. At EverGift, he focuses on developing partnerships, community outreach, and mission as Executive Director.
Matt Wanderer, a California native, founded and leads Evergift as Chairman of the Board, focusing on long-term strategy and innovation in social enterprise. He is also CEO of EpicMD, a mobile health tech leader. Previously, Wanderer led international sales at Datatec S.A., was Managing Director at Newmark Knight Frank, co-founded Alterra Capital Group, and was CEO of RestoreHealth, a top-fastest-growing private company before its 2015 sale. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon and an M.B.A. from NYU Stern, LSE, and HEC Paris.
Michael, Co-Founder and Chief Spokesperson for EverGift, graduated from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. With 18 years in Business Analytics and ERP software at SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, and Workday, he has managed teams across North America, Latin America, and Europe. Fluent in four languages and a dual U.S. and Brazilian citizen, Michael has traveled to 76 countries and engaged with many of EverGift’s global partners. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and runs Workday’s Western U.S. operations.
Strategy Advisor Emily has extensive experience with international nonprofits, specializing in program development and storytelling. She worked with The DREAM Project in 2012 and joined EverGift in 2013 as Program Manager, supporting artisans and small business owners in the Dominican Republic. Emily now serves as Director of Venture Development at Social Enterprise Greenhouse and continues to advise the EverGift Board on strategic partnerships and growth.
Kevin McPherson, a CPA with a BS in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Kellogg at Northwestern, has extensive experience in nonprofit and philanthropic advisory roles. He has served as CFO for several foundations and privately-held companies in life sciences, software, and internet sectors, managing over $200M in financing and successful exits. His past CFO roles include Restore Health, Forte Research Systems, Venture Investors, Authentify, and Teach.com, with earlier positions at Scios, Hewlett Packard, and Arthur Andersen.
Lisa, a Brooklyn Law School graduate specializing in litigation, real estate, and family law, worked as a family court attorney and later as general counsel and HR Manager for a New York healthcare corporation. She combines her advocacy passion and contract law expertise to support EverGift’s mission. Lisa also organizes events to boost EverGift’s recognition and support from the global philanthropic community. She lives in Miami with her husband and three children.
